These terms apply when you use dealcompass.in (the “site”), which is run by DealCompass (“we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What the site is
DealCompass publishes buying guides, comparisons and product pages for shoppers in India. We do not sell products, take orders or process payments. When you click a button such as “View on Amazon” or “Check price”, you leave our site and go to Amazon.in, where any purchase is made with Amazon or a seller on Amazon.in.
2. Who may use the site
The site is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use the contact form. You may use the site only for lawful purposes and in line with these terms.
3. Information only, not advice
Our content is general information to help you compare products. It is not professional, medical, safety, legal or financial advice, and it is not a guarantee that a product suits you. Please read our disclaimer and make your own decision before you buy.
4. Affiliate links
Links to Amazon.in on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Our affiliate disclosure explains this in full. Our editorial policy explains how we choose and rank products.
5. Prices, availability and purchases
Prices, offers, delivery and availability are set by Amazon and its sellers, and they change often. The details shown on Amazon when you buy are the ones that apply. Orders, payments, delivery, returns, refunds, warranties and invoices are handled by Amazon or the seller. We cannot see or change your order and we are not a party to your purchase.
6. Our rights in the content
The text, layout, logo, graphics and design of the site belong to DealCompass or are used with permission. You may:
- read and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use; and
- quote short extracts with a clear credit and a link back to the page.
Without our written permission you may not:
- copy, republish, sell or distribute our content, or build a competing guide from it;
- use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to collect content from the site, other than ordinary search-engine crawlers;
- try to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems;
- use the site to send spam, malware or unlawful material; or
- suggest that DealCompass endorses you or your products.
Product names, brand names and logos belong to their owners. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. We use these names only to identify products and we do not claim any link with their owners, other than our participation in the Amazon Associates programme.
7. Messages you send us
If you send us a message, a correction or a suggestion, you allow us to use it to run and improve the site. We will not publish your name or email address without your permission. Please do not send anything unlawful, abusive or confidential, or anyone else’s personal data. We handle personal data as described in our privacy policy.
8. Links to other sites
The site links to other websites, mainly Amazon.in. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, products, prices, policies or security. Your use of them is under their own terms.
9. Accuracy and changes to the site
We work to keep our content accurate and up to date, but we cannot promise that it is complete or error-free. Products are changed, replaced or withdrawn without notice. 10. No warranty
To the extent the law allows, the site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without any promise that they will be uninterrupted, accurate, suitable for your purpose or free of errors or harmful code.
11. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, DealCompass is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or opportunity, arising from your use of the site or from reliance on its content, or from any purchase you make from Amazon or another seller. Our total liability to you for any claim connected with the site is limited to ₹1,000. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Indian law that cannot be limited, including your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any liability for fraud or wilful wrongdoing.
12. Your responsibility
If your breach of these terms, or your misuse of the site, causes us a loss or a claim from a third party, you agree to compensate us for that loss, to the extent the law allows.
13. Copyright and content complaints
If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright or other rights, or is inaccurate or unlawful, email dealcompassindia@gmail.com with the page address, a description of the content, what your concern is and how to reach you. We will look into it promptly and will remove or correct content where it is justified.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a problem, please write to us first at dealcompassindia@gmail.com so we can try to settle it informally. If we cannot, the courts of competent jurisdiction in India will decide it. This does not take away any right you have as a consumer to bring a claim in the forum that the law gives you.
15. General
- If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest stays in force.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not give it up.
- These terms, together with our policies linked above, are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
- Electronic records and communications are valid under the Information Technology Act, 2000.
16. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
